Marriage | 19 December 1934 | Thomasson-Bartholomew Prettily decorated w¡th frangipani and Shasta daisies, St. Paul's Cathedral was the scene of a pretty wedding at 6.45 p.m. on Wednesday, December 19, when Thelma Jessie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Bartholomew, 425 Bolsover-street, was married to Walter Gordon, second son of Mr. W. Thomasson and the late Mrs. Thomasson, of Rock- hampton. The ceremony was performed by Canon R. B. Davison. The bride entered the church with her father, who gave her away. She wore a beautiful gown of ivory dice suade with a yoke and bow of angel skin lace and finished with orange blossoms. She carried an exquisite armlet cascade of stepanotis, frangipani and Cecil Brunner roses tied with ivory satin ribbon. As the bridal party left the Cathedral the Rev. E. R. Streeten played the Wedding March. The bride was presented with a lucky horseshoe by little Lexie Lomas. The bride was attended by her sister Edna as bridesmaid and little Margo Gibbons as flower girl. The bridesmaid was frocked in cascade blue romain sheer made with a butterfly bow on the back and front of the bodice. Her pic- ture hat toned with her frock. She carried a dainty hip sheaf of cream gladioli and frangipani arranged with blue tulle and streamers. The flower girl wore a long frock of bkue georgette finished with a pin tucked bodice with frilled sleeves and a frilled skirt. She wore a tulle head band to match and she carried an Old World posy of frangipani arranged with blue ribbons and streamers. Mr. James E Gibbons undertook the duties of best man. The bouquets were made by Mr. Geo. Hansen. After the ceremony the bride's mother received the guests at their home, Cairnside, frocked in navy waterware satin with a hat to tone.
