| Birth | 1934 | To Herbert and Euphemia Pazzi | (Queensland), (Australia)G |
| Death | 4 February 2024 | Lorraine Tappenden nee Pazzi, aged 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday morning the 4th Feb at Gracehaven Nursing Home where she has been a resident for the last four and a half years. Loving wife of Graham and mother/mother-in-law to Christine and Graham Stirrat and Scott. Adored Grandma to Keir and Fran and Adam. Mum’s working life started as one of the Mary West Hat (boutique) girls and progressed to Manager/Buyer. During this time she also taught Sunday School classes and was very active in the Scout Movement becoming Akela to the West Cub Group on Walker Street. As a West State School pupil she had started her first fundraising venture (as did most of the older students) to raise funds for their first pool. After marrying and devoting her time to raising a family she started her Community work again as the Tuckshop Covenor of the newly built Norville School. She continued to volunteer at the Bundy High Tuckshop as her children progressed and then took on the role of Catering Convenor of the Bundaberg Sailing Club. She threw all her energy into this new role and was instrumental in raising enough funds to allow the Committee to shift the Club to the new premises at Burnett Heads, for which she was very proud to be made a Life Member. She retired from Community work and enjoyed U3A classes, in particular the Watercolour classes, and was active in Graham’s Queeensland Kite Flyer’s Assoc ( cutting out and sewing kites- not flying them), the Bundaberg Orchid Society, The Bundaberg Bush House Group and then growing and selling plants at the PCYC Markets until her health declined. She always spared a few hours a day to devote to her gardens as had her parents before her. I should also add she took great pleasure in spoiling her two grandchildren whenever possible. A private cremation was held as per Mum’s wishes. | Bundaberg, Queensland, AustraliaG |
