| Death | 1930 | BOY KILLED Wheat Stack Collapses. TEMORA, Saturday. A remarkable fatality occurred at Ellerslie Mimosa the home of Mr F Casley farmer at an early hour this morning when Henry George Drover 16 was killed. George Henry Drover his father suffered a crushed arm and shock and Stanley Roy Drover, 15, shock. The father and sons came from Goulburn to cart wheat for Casley. They retired to bed about 10 o'clock last night, sleeping in a shed in which was stacked 40 bags of wheat. By some means the stack collapsed, and fell on them. Casley was sleeping at his home, 150 yards distant and was awakened by groans from the shed. He and an employee Alick Stevens went to the shed to find the father struggling to get free. Bags of wheat were piled across the lower part of his body and legs but his head was free. Stanley was under the wheat, but was able to breathe and had a fortunate escape. The other boy was dead, with his head under the wheat. It is thought that death was instantaneous, the boy having been smothered in his sleep. The body will be con-veyed to Goulburn for interment. A coroner's inquiry will be held at Temora next Saturday. | Temora, New South Wales, AustraliaG |
