MARYBOROUGH, March 9. -Mr George Phillip Weinheimer, 60, married, was found dead on Ocean Beach, Fraser Island, by Forestry Depart- ment employees this morning. With his wife and friends he was holidaying on the island.
Weinheimer was caretaker ol the Urangan jetty (Hervey Bay), a position he took over on the death of his father about 18 years ago.
Weinheimer served in the first World War and, on his return to Maryborough, was employed as fireman on the permanent staff of the Mary- borough Fire Brigade.

Death | 30 October 1946 | DEATH OF MR N. G. E. CHRISTENSEN By the recent death of Mr Neils Gregis Enevold Christensen, Mt Morgan has lost one of its most respected citizens. Born in Bundaberg in 1889, he came to Mt Morgan in 1919 and secured employment with the Mt Morgan Gold Mining Company's smelters. Owing to illness he retired from the company's employ in September, 1945. In 1910 he was married to Miss Grace Weinheimer, of Maryborough. His wife predeceased him in March of this year. After her death he went to live with his daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Les Henkle, until his death. His funeral, which moved from the St Mary's Church of England, was attended by many of his old friends and workmates. Rev. Canon Fellows officiated at the church and graveside.
