Death30 October 1946DEATH OF MR N. G. E. CHRISTENSEN
By the recent death of Mr Neils Gregis Enevold Christensen, Mt Morgan has lost one of its most respected citizens. Born in Bundaberg in 1889, he came to Mt Morgan in 1919 and secured employment with the Mt Morgan Gold Mining Company's smelters. Owing to illness he retired from the company's employ in September, 1945.
In 1910 he was married to Miss Grace Weinheimer, of Maryborough. His wife predeceased him in March of this year. After her death he went to live with his
daughter and son-in-law, Mr and Mrs Les Henkle, until his death. His funeral, which moved from the St Mary's Church of England, was attended by many of his old friends and workmates. Rev. Canon Fellows officiated at the church and graveside. He is survived by his two children, Mrs Henkle (Mt Morgan) and Mr Vernon Christensen (Toowoomba).
