On the 15th March at the Hermit Park Methodist Church, Townsville, Sidney, son of Mrs and the late Mr Walsh of Innisfail was united to Florence, third daughter of the later Mr and Mrs Ireland of Mareeba. The bride entered the church on the arm of her brother-in-law Mr Crookes who gave her away and wore a heavily beaded French frock of white Marlette. She also wore tulle veil and wreath of orange blossoms arranged coronet effect presented by Mrs Crooks and carried a beautiful bouquet of roses and asparagus fern with satin streamers. Miss Dolly Ireland sister of the bride acted as bridesmaid and wore a shell pink heavily beaded French model of mariette and a pink silk crinoline picture hat to match and carried a bouquet of roses and asparagus fern with satin streamers. Little Ilma Crooks, niece, of the bride acted as train bearer, and looked dainty in pink georgette made latest high waisted effect being shirred and finished at foot with rows of ruchings and she carried a basket bouquet of roses and ferns. Mr Roy Swan of Atherton acted as best man. After the ceremony the party left the church amid showers of confetti to be photographed, then motored to the home of the bride’s sister where the wedding breakfast was partaken of and the usual toasts honoured. The happy couple left by train for North where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling dress being apricot crepe de chene over which was worn a black georgette dust coat. A silk crinoline hat to tone was also worn.

The bride entered tbe church on the arm of her brother, Bert, who subsequently gave her away, and looked charming !ln a magnolia frock of bridal satin made on tight fitting lines at the waist, the skirt being-inlet with panels lot chastlUy lace and fatting grace fully to the ankles. Tbe bodice was ot bridal satin and chantllly lace with puff sleeves to the elbow and long lacs cuffs finishing at the wrist Tbe bridal veil wan of Brussels net beauti fully embroidered in silver and white, and was worn madonna effect being caught at the head with dusters of orange blossoms. A sheath of arum lilies and bridal fern tied with rib bon and tulle, kindly lent by Mrs. Donovan, of South Townsvllle. com pleted the bride's toilette. The bride was attended by Miss Alice Griffiths of Charters Towers, as bridesmaid, who looked very becoming In a frock ot pale pink crinkled organdl made on classic lines and falling to tbs ankles, her Juliet cap being caught at the sias with a pink velvet posy. She carried a Twuquet of pink and white roses tied with ribbon and tulle, and wore pink satin shoes to match her frock. The bridesmaid also wore a beautifully cut string of crystals, the gift of the bridegroom. The duties of Dest man were ably carried out by Mr. Jack Hearn. After the ceremony the party left the church amid show ers of confetti and motored to the Root Garden, where the reception was held. Mrs. Crooks frocked In grey crinkled moroesin relieved with mauve with hat and shoes to tone, received about fifty guests. Tbe table was beautifully decorated with roses, ho main feature being the three tier heart shaped wedding cake the gift of
