Miss Dolly Ireland sister of the bride acted as bridesmaid and wore a shell pink heavily beaded French model of mariette and a pink silk crinoline picture hat to match and carried a bouquet of roses and asparagus fern with satin streamers. Little Ilma Crooks, niece, of the bride acted as train bearer, and looked dainty in pink georgette made latest high waisted effect being shirred and finished at foot with rows of ruchings and she carried a basket bouquet of roses and ferns. Mr Roy Swan of Atherton acted as best man. After the ceremony the party left the church amid showers of confetti to be photographed, then motored to the home of the bride’s sister where the wedding breakfast was partaken of and the usual toasts honoured. The happy couple left by train for North where the honeymoon will be spent. The bride’s travelling dress being apricot crepe de chene over which was worn a black georgette dust coat. MR. JOHN DAYMAN.
INNISFAIL, July 30
The death occurred early this morn- ing of Mr. John Dayman, a pioneer resident of the Innisfail district. He was 84 years of age, and had been in the Far North for over 50 years. At one time he worked for the old Queensland sugar mill, near Innisfail, and in 1915 he was ferryman for the Johnstone Shire Council, and later in- spector for that authority. Subse- quently, he retired. He leaves a wife, two sons and two daughters. Deceased was an Oddfellow and a foundation member of the Loyal Johnstone River Lodge, which he joined in 1895. The funeral takes place to-morrow- morning at ll o'clock from the Seventh Day Adventist Church. | |

The marriage of Miss Constance A. Hadkins, youngest daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. A. A. Hadkins, Rockhampton, to Mr. R. G. Crosthwaite, of the Warden's Office Herberton, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Crosthwaite, Rockhampton, was celebrated at St. Paul's Cathedral at 9.30a.m. Wednesday, 12th April. The service was conducted by the Rev. Archdeacon Rogers. The bride, who was given away by her brother (Mr. S. Hadkins), wore a pretty frock of white Kobe crepe, and a handsome wreath and veil, lent by a friend. She carried a shower bouquet, which, with a tourmaline and diamond pendant, was the gift of the bridegroom. Miss ??? Hadkins (sister of the bride), who acted as bridesmaid, wore a dainty frock of champagne Japanese satin. Her bouquet and aquamarine pendant were the gifts of the bridegroom. The gift of the bride to the bridegroom was a double Albert gold chain. Mr. Norman Crosthwaite (brother of the bridegroom), acted as the best man. After the ceremony the bridal party returned to the bride's home, where the wedding breakfast was served. The happy couple left by the midday train for Brisbane and Redcliffe, where the honeymoon will be spent, after which they will return to their future home in Herberton. North Queensland.
