A very pretty wedding took place at St. Peter's Church, West End, on March 23, when Miss Olive Fenton, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, TownsvlIIe, was joined In the holy bonds of matrimony to Mr. Arthur Douglas Smith, second son of Mr. and Mrs. A. D. Smith, of Aitkenvale, Townsville. The Rev. Canon Williams officiated. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of Mr. George Burns, who subsequently gave her away, looked charming in a frock of Ivory marlette, bodice prettily tucked with a French smocked waist, and silver lace over Celanese satin. She carried a bouquet of white roses and orange blossom. Miss Ann Harper, friend of the bride, acted as bridesmaid, and wore a pretty frock of pink mariette and lace with semi-flared skirt and cascade of lace on bodice, picture hat to match.
