The deceased lade, who was one of the oldest residents of Dalby, was siezed with a stroke on Sunday morning last, from which she failed to recover. Deceased, who was 85 years of age, was born in the North of Ireland in 1841, and as Miss Fanning arrived in Australia at the age of 21 years. Shortly after her arrival in Australia, in either 1862 or 1863, she came to Dalby, travelling in coach and waggon. About three years later she was married to the late Mr John Coutts of Dalby. The late Mr Coutts is credited with having driven the first official coach between Drayton and Dalby. The surviving members of the family are:- Mr John Coutts (Dalby), Mrs A Crease (Brisbane), Mrs W and Mrs C Troyahn (Dalby), Mrs W Byrne (Dalby), Mrs A J Carstens (Helidon), and Miss A Coutts (Dalby).
